What is Human Design?
Human Design is a modern system that turns your birth date, time and place into a chart describing how your energy tends to work: how you make decisions, where you're consistent, and where you're open to the people around you. Ally reads it alongside your astrological birth chart. It is not a diagnosis. It is a vocabulary for noticing patterns in yourself, and words for things you have probably always half-known.
Is the Human Design chart free?
Yes. Ally computes your full chart from your birth date, time and place: your type, authority, profile and centers, and your astrological birth chart read alongside it. It costs nothing and stays yours. There's no subscription needed to see it, and your first daily message is free too. Does Ally use astrology as well?
Yes. Your blueprint draws on both Human Design and astrology: your sun, moon and rising signs, and the transits moving through your chart on a given day. The two systems read the same birth moment from different angles, and Ally combines them into one message rather than handing you two separate answers.
Which kind of astrology does Ally use?
Western tropical astrology, the zodiac most horoscopes use, where the signs follow the seasons rather than the constellations. Houses use the whole sign system, which stays dependable at northern latitudes and when a birth time is approximate, and the lunar nodes are the true nodes. Your Human Design chart is calculated from the same positions, so your whole blueprint describes one and the same sky.
What is an energetic blueprint?
It's our name for both charts together. Your Human Design chart describes how your energy is built: your type, your authority, which centers are defined and which are left open. Your astrological birth chart adds the timing: your sun, moon and rising, and what the sky is doing on a given day. Both are drawn from the same moment: the day, time and place you were born. Ally computes both, free, and every message is drawn from them.
Do I need to know my exact birth time?
It helps, and the more precise it is the more precise your chart. If you don't know the hour, Ally still builds your blueprint, and some details, such as your rising sign and parts of your Human Design profile, simply carry less confidence. You can add or correct your birth details later and your blueprint is redrawn: the first redraw is free, and after that it is $0.99 each time.
Does Ally predict the future?
No. Ally doesn't tell you what will happen or what you should do, but describes tendencies and timing and leaves the conclusion to you. Where Ally and your own sense of things disagree, your own sense wins. That's the entire point of it.
I don't know anything about Human Design or astrology. Is this for me?
Most people arrive that way, and nothing here assumes you've read anything. Your charts are calculated for you and explained in plain language first, with the proper name for each part underneath, so you can look something up, recognise it in a conversation, and go deeper whenever you want to.

Does Ally show when Mercury is retrograde?
Yes, and it’s free: no subscription, and nothing to buy. Ally keeps a calendar of what the sky is doing for weeks ahead: every planet’s retrograde and the day it turns direct again, full and new moons, solar and lunar eclipses, and the solstices and equinoxes. Each one is dated in your own timezone, because a full moon at 23:00 in London is already the next day in Auckland. That part is the same for everybody, so Ally gives it away. What a particular retrograde does to your chart is the part that shows up in your daily message.
What happens to my birth data?
Your birth details are used to calculate your chart and nothing else. Stellar Ally AB is the data controller, the company is Swedish, and the data is stored in the European Union under GDPR. It is never sold, and you can edit or delete it at any time. The Privacy Policy has the specifics.
